Our Story

Spoon & Pork was founded by Raymond Yaptinchay & Jay Tugas. They are childhood friends who grew up in the Philippines and always dreamed of opening their own restaurant.


Wanting to share their culture by way of their food. They started to chase that dream and started a food truck in 2017.  Spoon&Pork want to introduce an interesting take on Filipino food to everyone.Within three months of operation they won an award for the best food truck in Los Angeles by LAWeekly. 

They opened their first brick & mortar in July 2019 at the heart of Silver Lake, Los Angeles. Los Angeles Times and New York Times named the Patita & Coco Jack one of the best dishes of 2019.


This is their take on modern Filipino comfort food. Born in the Philippines and made in Los Angeles, Spoon&Pork is proud to present traditional flavors that we cherished growing up in the Philippines through our reimagined style dishes.
